The Notification of Death has been successfully submitted to CalSTRS.
A caseworker will mail a letter to the designated beneficiary(ies) on file within 30 days to
initiate the survivor benefits process.
CalSTRS requires a photocopy of the certified death certificate indicating the cause of death.
